Worked great! Just follow the directions and product does the rest! Wish I had this years ago for boat repairs. Would have saved alot of hard work and money repairing holes in the bottom of aluminum boats.

The post office broke the rods in half I contacted Randall and he shipped me a second order free of charge
Great service and good people to deal with I will definitely be buying more

everything arrived as expected. 🙂

Worked great! Be patient, be sure to really heat up the area and let the rod melt, not try to melt rod into work area. Highly recommend!
Dwaine M. (verified owner) –
Great product…I repaired a portable boat BBQ and the rod worked exactly the way it’s supposed to..my only complaint is that it’s a little pricey but I would definitely purchase again if need be.

AWESOME PRODUCT!!!! AND AWESOME FELLA WILL HELP YOU IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE IF HE MISSES YOUR CALL HE WILL CALL YOU BACK!!!! DEFINITELY GOING TO ORDER MORE!!!!
William (verified owner) –
Works as advertised. For the novice, you have to get the aluminum very hot, probably about 700°

Works great ! I used HTS-735 to fill a split ( leak ) in a 5″ irrigation main line. I was able to fix on the first attempt. The line averages 70 lbs. , that’s was a good solid test. So glad I found HTS-735.

It’s not as easy as you make it look, especially for those of us who don’t have much experience with torches. I’m trying to fix holes in 3″ irrigation pipe and I watched your video several times. I’m getting my pipe too hot (my hole is now bigger) but can’t seem to find the happy medium of temp. More tips, suggestions, etc. for beginners might help, instead of focusing on how “easy” it is. I’m sold on the product, but what more would you add to a video (or put in a new video) specifically directed at us newbies?
Randall Gasser –
Well I have been using HTS-735-11 for years so I may make it look easy but it is easy if you follow the instructions, clean the surface, heat the aluminum to the point the rod melts, back off the heat and apply the rod, let slow cool. You should check out my heat control video and pontoon repair videos. These can be found at youtube.com/c/aluminum-weld In these videos I demo how to position the torch for heat control and talk about different torch tips and gases that will aid you in heating the aluminum to 735 degrees F.. You can also search on youtube HTS-735-11. I am always happy to take your phone calls.

Came in the mail quickly, easy to use no flame to the rod, Worked great on some aluminum atv ramps.

My project was a little more difficult and took more heat than a bottle torch , it definitely requires a little experience and it has a learning curve to adapt to using it . so far it is doing what i expected it to do .
Rick Friend (verified owner) –
Product works fine when you can get it to melt. Used MAP gas torch on pontoon and never could get up to temperature. Works fine on smaller parts.
Randall Gasser –
Pontoons are very large pieces of aluminum which dissipates heat very well. If you are working on a cold day or windy day it becomes very challenging to get to 735 degrees F. I have had to get a friend and use two torches at times. Also the torch tip you use can makes a BIG difference. I address this on my pontoon repair video on my YouTube channel youtube.com/c/aluminum-weld

Quick shipping. Will no be using until spring, but they look promising….

The customer service is unparalleled. They went way out of their way to ensure I received my order quickly even though it was not their fault for the delay. They stayed in contact with me with updates. The product is a great long term fix I used for my jon boat. I will most certainly purchase again for any repairs.

Have yet to use it. Will let you know.

Using them on a boat project hoping that they will be the ticket still going to have to order more to finish the project have high hopes for it

Used it on electrolysis holes in aluminum boat. It got us back on the water!

I went braze my outboard motor skeg and needed to use an oxygen acetylene torch to heat the metal to melting temp of rods. Map torch would not obtain the heat required, other than that, it worked great.

Fast delivery good product

This stuff saved my boat. I had a pretty big leak in the seam of the bow. It was to old and thin to weld. JB weld and other sealers didn’t work. I ordered some of these Fluxless Brazing rods. I watched the video and followed it and it worked like a charm.
No more leaks!!

Great material and price
Dannie (verified owner) –
It worked as the video claimed. Repaired my pontoon.
Matt H. (verified owner) –
Worked extremely well, just make sure you have a hot enough torch
David (verified owner) –
Easy to order and the delivery was fast. As for the rods. It was easy to weld fix a crack in my pontoon. Just need to follow the instructions from the video.
Lance Miller (verified owner) –
With zero experience I had success on my first project. I was able to repair an older outboard motor part that I could not replace. Great product. I know I will find many more uses.

Love it, welded a large hole in my boat with ease, will be purchasing again for sure
Richard Shelton (verified owner) –
works well, have not leak tested yet but appears to have worked well on my pontoon leak, pretty big hole that I had to use a patch on. I found it is a fine line between the perfect temperature to melt the rod and too much heat that melts the aluminum. all in all a great product for smaller repairs.
Scott Barnett (verified owner) –
Absolutely incredible rods! I believe I brought the best and will never from another aluminum brazing accept from aluminum-weld.com!
People, keep your rod out of the frame, it’s really that easy… with practice!
Shipping and product is superb!
Gary Drahota (verified owner) –
had some trouble when a few holes were to close together, otherwise everything work fine.
Daniel (verified owner) –
This stuff works, I have tried other and not had as good of luck as these rods – clean the area heat the aluminum and rub the blazing rod on the metal not the flame 🔥 has good holding strength

I knew better, but I took my boat out on the river when it was too low. About a mile from the launch ramp, I went through about 50 yards of rocks. It destroyed my propeller. See pics. But never fear, I broke out the oxy-acet rig w/ a #4 rosebud with this rod and a few days. I pre-tinned the back and the front of all 4 blades. About half inch or so. I got a piece of 16 ga carbon steel sheet metal. Curved it so it matches the blades. At this point I didn’t need the big torch. Turbo torch w/ mapp gas is all I needed. The area to be repaired needs to be level. Then heat and puddle HTS-735-II. Always put more on than you need. Then grind to shape the metal back into a propeller. Always pre-tin the aluminum. The key is patience. Be safe.
Oh yea the prop works great. Saved me $350 bucks.

Product failed to work but may have been dirty aluminum or map gas torch not hot enough. Will try again later.
Bret P. (verified owner) –
Fixed a pontoon boat I bought. PO hit a dock pretty hard and left a birds mouth in one of the pontoons that was leaking. Used the brazing rod to seal the leak. Worked great!

Tried everything to fix my irrigation pipes and this was the easiest and most efficient way to fix them.
Morris Turner (verified owner) –
Very easy to use, I repaired a pontoon boat and it did the job. 👍👍

Well im happy to say it worked exactly like it did in the video. got to clean that aluminim prop really good and the backing steel flat bar that bends around the curve of the prop very important. Then you need enough heat. I used the smallest victor brazing torch tip oxy acetlylene. While your simple $20 propane torch wont heat the aluminim prop hot and fast enough….the small oxy brazing tip was in my opinion maybe a little bit too much heat…but i was careful always moving it…The trick with these rods is to heat the aluminim fast and hot enough just below melting temp…hence oxy acet may be too hot if your not careful but it worked well for me. This alloy is very hard when it hardens and actually is hard to grind so i was impressed with the repair of my aluminim propeller. I took a pretty big chunk out of it hitting a rock and sure enough i was able to simply melt a blob of this rod it puddled like in the video and became the replacement chunk. IMportant to wet the brazed ends of the repair on both sides before introducing the main blob of metal to replace the missing chunk…but darn if it didnt work exactly like the video said. So clean the prop and backing steel really good…and get a good hot propane or mapp gas even oxy acet…..im thinking i should just have used oxy propane instead…thats my next attempt but yes it works like in the video…excellent product work the money.
