With a little patience and 2 rods I repaired a nickel sized hole in the side of my jon boat with nothing behind the hole. Fairly easy to work with and holds very strong. Will definitely be a repeat customer

We could not fix the gash in our pontoon. I like the product but couldn’t get the pontoon itself hot enough for the solder to take.

Hi Peter, Watch my youtube video DIY Pontoon Repair youtube.com/c/aluminum-weld. In the video I talk about using different torch tips and gases like Map Gas vs Propane. You can also get a helper and use two torches. Also you can always contact me by phone.

So far I’m very pleased, started brazing holes in my aluminum boat have more holes to do but the rods have worked very well and seems to have a very strong bond. Very surprised how easy it is to do.

I used the product to repair the stern of my square back canoe. Worked as advertised with a strong permanent repair. I tried to use it on some leaking rivets, but I had repaired them several years ago with West Systems Aluminum Boat Repair epoxy. When I heated up the rivets the epoxy caught fire, so I decided to seal them again with epoxy. Had I not used the epoxy previously I believe the aluminum brazing rods would have been a better, more permanent repair.
There were problems with the post office losing my original order. When I called to check on it I received courteous and prompt help with a second shipment via priority mail. Tremendous customer service. Highly recommended!

Can’t seem to get the aluminum hot enough with propane to get the material to flow. Working on 18.5ft G3 aluminum boat haul. So I can’t really rate it yet

Works great, but do not apply the rod to the aluminum under the flame, and make sure the aluminum is very clean. I found there are installations that still require a tig or mig welder, but for small repairs this brazing rod does well.

Very helpful when I called and spoke to you on the phone. Your product worked as advertised and I was a bit surprised it was easier to use than I expected.

I stripped a pontoon boat to find the aluminum angle welded to the bottom of one pontoon had broken loose probably from hitting rocks.I removed and turned pontoon over. Cleaned material with wire wheel on mini grinder. If I had access to my acetylene brazing torch it would have been much easier to fix because pontoon removed so much heat needed in that area. I was able to use a turbo torch but took much longer. As stated in bold text. HEAT THE METAL NOT THE ROD. Once the pontoon area was hot enough I was very pleased with the flow of the aluminum weld product. I did need to hammer the lighter aluminum angle back into shape because it warped with the long heating process with the turbo torch. The “weld” held great with no cracking etc. I believe this is a permanent fix for the pontoon.

I’m a carpenter, not a welder. With your product I was able to repair a tear on my pontoon with ease. Thanks
