It’s important to understand that aluminum comes in a wide variety of alloys and harness. Also, the size of the parts to be joined impacts how long it takes to get the brazing area up to the right temp to melt the rod. I discovered that these rods are great for situations where the two parts have identical properties and are not too thin. In some situations, one will want rods with a much lower melting point. So match your rods to your work.
